Toilet and Bathroom Containers: Use and Infrastructure Guide

Toilet and Bathroom Containers: Use and Infrastructure Guide

Plan cubicle numbers, hot water, ventilation, water/drainage connections and daily cleaning together for toilet and bathroom containers.

2026 guide · Content updated: 14 October 2026.

Plan shared wet rooms

Toilet and bathroom containers aim to meet WC and shower needs in one modular building. On sites, camps or temporary workplaces, selection depends on daily users and peak demand. If staff shower simultaneously, total headcount alone is insufficient for capacity planning.

Clean water and waste water connections

Before installation, establish the site's water source, connection distance and waste water destination. Where no sewer exists, assess a suitable waste water solution with the relevant authority and qualified contractors. Delivery with internal plumbing does not mean external site connections are included in the quotation. List internal and external work separately in your 2026 quotation.

Comfort and maintenance in shower areas

Select hot-water production and storage capacity according to usage. Assess simultaneous showers, electricity or other energy supply and plumbing design together. Water collection, drainage layout, cleanable wet-room surfaces and ventilation affect maintenance. Plan protection of external connections in cold regions too.

  • Provide privacy and sufficient passage space between cubicles.
  • Define a storage area for cleaning equipment.
  • Check access for fixture and installation maintenance.
  • Include accessibility needs in the design according to the user profile.

Pre-delivery checklist

After water connections are complete, a qualified team must check leaks, drainage and hot water. Include door, lock, lighting and ventilation checks in the delivery record. the wet-room solutions keep cubicle numbers and equipment lists at the same scope when comparing.

Frequently asked questions

Is the hot-water system included?

It depends on the model and quotation scope. Check the system type, capacity and installation responsibility in writing.

Can it be used where there is no sewer?

A suitable, permitted waste water solution must be planned separately. The container alone does not solve site waste water needs.

How many shower cubicles are required?

It is determined by daily user numbers, simultaneous use and shift patterns; one standard figure does not suit every site.
