Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a prefabricated house, light-gauge steel building and container?

Terms can describe different structural, production and assembly methods. Compare technical system, wall/roof package, purpose and delivery method rather than product name.

How can I find out the 2026 price of a prefabricated house?

Share the model, approximate area, room requirements, province/district and desired delivery scope with Profabrik. Current price, included/excluded work and validity are established by a written quotation.

Is the model price the total project cost?

Not always. Check whether foundations, site work, design services, transport, external power, water and drainage connections and selected equipment are included.

Are VAT, transport and assembly included in the quotation?

It may vary by quotation package. List taxes, transport, crane work and assembly separately as included or excluded.

Which work does turnkey cover?

Scope is defined by a written work and equipment list. Ask separately whether kitchen and bathroom equipment, flooring, external connections and landscaping are included.

Is a permit required for a prefabricated building or container?

Portability or small size does not automatically exempt a building from permits. Verify plot and use conditions with the municipality or authority and required designs with specialists.

Can I install it on my field or in my garden?

The land designation alone is insufficient. Do not make a final installation decision before asking the relevant authority about the plot's zoning, permitted use and any special conditions.

How are foundations or ground preparation determined?

This is determined by technical assessment of the building system, ground and site conditions. Do not apply the same foundation everywhere from catalogue dimensions alone.

Are these buildings earthquake-resistant?

Resistance is not determined by building type alone. Ground, local effects, technical design, materials and workmanship are assessed together. Request project-specific technical information instead of an unconditional disaster-resistance claim.

Can it be used all year round?

Assess with a wall, roof and floor package, ventilation and heating/cooling solution suitable for the location and climate. Not every standard package is equally suitable for every climate.

Can a custom plan or different room layout be prepared?

Share your needs; technical feasibility, production scope and costs of changes will be assessed. Clarify the approved plan version before manufacturing.

How many days do production and delivery take?

It depends on model, production schedule, design and permit steps, site preparation and logistics. Request a written project schedule; do not treat assembly time alone as total delivery time.

Can the container be moved elsewhere?

The unit design, current condition, dimensions, weight and site access must be suitable. Dismantling, crane work, disconnection and installation at the new site are planned separately.

Is buying a used building more economical?

Add repairs, dismantling, transport, missing parts, new foundation and assembly to the selling price. Compare the total with a new-building quotation with the same delivery scope.

Are kitchen, bathroom and air conditioning included?

It depends on the selected model and technical package. Appearance in an image does not mean inclusion; check the equipment list in the written quotation appendix.

Do the images show actual completed projects?

Reference photographs, catalogue images and digital concepts differ. Check the image label; verify plans, materials and included options against quotation documents.

Who makes external connections for WC and shower containers?

Define responsibility in the quotation for internal and external site work for clean water, waste water and power. Plan functional checks after delivery.

Can I get information on Tiny House models?

Confirm current Tiny House models and production scope with Profabrik. Category visibility does not mean a specific model is in stock or available immediately.

How are warranty and after-sales service defined?

Request written product/work warranty terms, maintenance duties and service contacts before delivery. This page provides no unverified fixed duration or unconditional warranty.

What information should I send for a quotation?

Share intended use, province/district, approximate area or model, room/cubicle requirements, site access, infrastructure condition and desired delivery scope. Add plans and site photographs if available.
